A mellow & relaxing ambience of Jalil Heights

I was at the site again yesterday with my family after visiting my tenant of No. 40, Jalan LP 1A/5 behind LH Electronics for a periodical inspection.
I noticed there is visibly more & more owner doing their houses & 1 non-owner was seen loitering in Zon 1 in his Proton.
Any komen ???

  3. SERDANG FOLKS TO GET ACCESS TO PUTRAJAYA HIGHWAY

    Good News

SERDANG FOLKS TO GET ACCESS TO PUTRAJAYA HIGHWAY

Serdang folks can now rejoice as the much-touted access ramp linking the Serdang Equine Park to Maju Expressway will be accessible soon as the Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) had issued a notification letter to Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ).

According to the council’s city planning department head Yunos Kashib, LLM has allocated RM10 million to build a full alignment access for motorists heading over to city center and also Putrajaya.

The ramp, which will cost RM70 million, will be built on Jalan Putra Permai in close vicinity to Equine Park’s Jusco.

The new access is expected to relieve traffic congestions along Jalan Putra Permai to Jalan Besar Serdang besides adding another highway option for the local folks.

However, when the issue was deliberated during MPSJ’s monthly full board meeting today, councillor Pooi Weng Keong demanded LLM to submit a development masterplan.

He wants LLM to take concrete actions on the issue since the project has been deferred for nearly two years after Pakatan took over Selangor leadership in 2008.

“We should wait for another month for LLM to appoint a surveyor or come out with a masterplan before we endorse their letter,” he said.

    Access road a Federal-State tussle

MPSJ’s acting president Abdullah Marjunid later said the issue is being studied by Selangor Economic Planning Unit (UPEN) as the access’s location will involve Malay reserve lands.

Komunitikini understands that the issue had transpired into a tussle between the Selangor state government and the Federal Government as the latter refused to build the access for Serdang folks who voted for the opposition during the last General Election.

Serdang DAP assemblyman Ean Yong Hian Wah, who is also a state government exco member, responded that his government will not approve any petrol stations along the highway until the access is built.

The expressway concessionaire Maju Holdings Sdn Berhad is yet to get a Certificate of Fitness (CF) for its Seri Kembangan’s rest station.

It remains unclear whether Maju Holdings is making petrol stations and the CF titles the terms to build the access.

The company is bearing the balance RM60 million out of the RM70 million construction cost.

mean all developer need pay the construction cost, why not the highway company pay the cost, because we also need pay toll to them, they not need pay the construction cost, then can accept the toll, why....

Residents seek end to traffic congestion

RESIDENTS of Taman Puncak Jalil and Paragon Heights want the authorities to build an interchange or allow vehicles to make a U-turn at the traffic light junction of Bukit Jalil Highway and Jalan Bukit Jalil Indah 2 to end congestion in the area.

They need to use Jalan Bukit Jalil Indah 2 to head to Kuala Lumpur but the queue could be a few kilometres long in the morning between 6.45am and 9.30am.

Taman Puncak Jalil Residents Association president Zainuddin Zainal said the road could no longer cope with the increasing traffic.

“The area has a population of about 20,000. There is another exit in Bandar Kinrara but it is 4km away and is inconvenient for the residents,” he said.

Bumper to bumper: The residents say the queue can stretch a few kilometres long during rush hour.
Vehicles from Persiaran Puncak Jalil entering this road and heading towards Kuala Lumpur add to the congestion.

The residents want Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) to consider allowing cars to make a U-turn during the rush hours, so that they would not add to the congestion at the exit.

The kerb at the traffic light junction had been expanded to prevent vehicles from making an illegal U-turn but many still ignored the rule.

Paragon Heights Residents Association chairman Erik Lai suggested DBKL increase the green time at the traffic lights so that more cars could get out of the intersection at one time.

Taman Puncak Jalil resident Mohd Amizi Che Seman said only 13 cars could go through each time.

Lai added that he saw a fire engine cut queue at the traffic lights last Friday morning to avoid being caught in the jam.

Zainuddin pointed out that the solution to their problem was to build an interchange.

He said a full-diamond interchange at the junction of Persiaran Puncak Jalil and Bukit Jalil Highway had been approved under the Kuala Lumpur development master plan and the residents were waiting for it to materialise.

“The developers in this area were supposed to contribute to the fund to build this interchange, but we have no knowledge about the latest development,” he said.

He urged the Subang Jaya Municipal Council to work together with DBKL to resolve the problem.

“As the local council that approved developments in our area, it has the responsibility to ensure that the infrastructure is well planned for the community,” he said.

DBKL has yet to respond to the issue.
